RESEARCH
DQC faculty, staff, and students are engaged in research across quantum information science and engineering. We are also home to a large-scale effort to design quantum computing systems that offer an advantage over their classical counterparts.
Education
DQC faculty are teaching quantum information to students from electrical engineering, physics, math, and computer science. We are also leading the way on developing strategies and practical approaches to bringing quantum topics to students of all ages and the public.
TRANSLATION
DQC members are working to advance the readiness of quantum technologies, and develop real-world applications that can be translated in the marketplace. Our faculty and students work closely with industry, and even start their own companies.
About DQC
The Duke Quantum Center is home to world-class researchers who study and develop the entire suite of quantum information systems. Situated in downtown Durham, we convene faculty from across Duke and the region to tackle quantum problems in discovery science, engineering, and application development. At the heart of DQC will be a one-of-a-kind quantum computing facility that will be accessible to scientists and engineers across multiple disciplines, students of all ages, and members of the public.
